Woodland Creatures - Shetland/Corriedale/Manx Loaghtan/Llama - 100g

This fibre is a beautiful mix of Manx Loaghtan, Shetland, Corriedale and llama. Manx Loaghtan were almost extinct 50 years ago, but thankfully are now becoming more common. The wool is a light tan colour, with a relatively long staple length of between 2-4 inches. It's robust, but soft - if you are planning it for next to skin use, test it first! I can wear it very happily against my skin, but these things are relative.

Shetland is beautiful, fine wool that feels soft against the skin, is robust and has excellent water repelling properties.  Corriedale is soft and has a lovely handle, and long-staple llama adds a luxurious fuzzy softness and warmth.  Shetland, Manx Loaghtan and Llama are all very warm fibres, so this is ideal for sweaters, socks or gloves.

The colour is inspired by a colourway created by Cat recently - a soft mix of greens and browns, with some warm deep red in there as well.

The blend is:

40% Shetland/ 30% Corriedale/ 15% Manx Loaughtan/ 15% Baby Llama.

Each braid weighs 100g.

The Shetland and Manx Loaghtan are reared and processed in the UK.  We do not use fleece from flocks that practise mulesing.
